Important announcement regarding upcoming Egyptian elections
Election of the Egyptian Parliament (formerly "Magles El-Shaab" or Peoples' Assembly) will take place towards the end of February, 2013. You can register yourself from January 8 to February 18 if you have an ID number (Rakam Kawmy). If you do not have Rakam Kawmy please contact the Embassy in Ottawa to arrange for that.. If you have a "National ID" and have not registered before, you can now do so using the following link: www.elections.eg/ocv/registration This way you will receive a registration number and will be eligible to vote in the up-coming Parliament election. You can also change the place of voting, e.g. if you voted before in Egypt you can change to be eligible to vote in Ottawa (in some cases Montreal) or vice verse. If you need help with the registration contact Paul (Boulos) Roufail at 613-225-5666 or e-mail at paulroufail@gmail.com You may wish to arrange seeing him after the church services Saturday evening (after 7:30 P.M. or Sunday morning (after 11:30 A.M.).
